The LR Collaborative
In the exhibit A Quick and Tragic Thaw at University of Virginia’s Ruffin Gallery, Yvonne Love and Gabrielle Russomagno created pieces inspired by the work of scientists and the realities of climate change. Artworks included textured maps showing wind movements, blue carbon paper drawings suggesting a singular original rather than copies, large black sand representations of Greenland, and personal records of backyard birds. These and other collections made A Quick and Tragic Thaw a compelling body of work worth memorializing in this catalog.
When Adrienne designed the exhibition catalog for my arts collaborative, she once again amazed me—her design choices reflected the artwork with sensitivity and surprising creativity. She’s a rare designer who listens, understands, and brings out the best in every project. Working with her feels less like hiring a designer and more like having a true thought partner.
